When the first version of this book was born just over three years ago, my hope was to be one of a long and successful series of books that educate, inspire and even excite many people about using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software. To do this, I decided that each book in the series must meet the following criteria:
- It should be basic enough to allow everyone to learn Citizen 3D.
- It should be deep enough to allow a person to be productive Use Citizen 3D for basic tasks.
- It should promote understanding by associating what you do 3D of citizens with familiar things you see every day.
- Examples and exercises should be based on the real world.
- This book should not simply show random software features, but also need to teach the process of completion of the project using citizen 3D.
About the Book
Changes have been made to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 Essentials, which is even better than last year’s version.
Since the structure of the book has changed, there is a big distinction between the information part of the book and the practical exercises. The exercises are numbered and displayed in the table of contents. Each exercise stands alone and does not require the completion of previous exercises (except in rare cases and where noted). You can also view the complete results of the exercise file (s) in each applicable case so you or your students can compare your results to what is expected.
This book should be read by anyone who needs or wants to start learning AutoCAD Civil 3D. It is suitable for the age group from high school to retirement and is intended for people who do not have Civil 3D experience or skills, but it also serves as an excellent resource to refresh their knowledge base or fill gaps. In addition, this book can be used as a resource for preparing to get AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 Certified certification for more certification information and resources. You can also refer to the appendix to this book to see which certification topics are covered and where they are in the book.
