Pavement and Geotechnical Engineering for Transportation- for free

Geotechnical Engineering

Pavement and Geotechnical Engineering for Transportation has selected 20 papers representing the latest developments in the application of soil, rock, and pavement materials in geo mechanics and transportation geo technology research and applications.

Pavements for Transportation and Geotechnical Engineering Featured in the Geotechnical Practice Publication (GPP) is a paper examining the use of waste materials in pavement structures, drawing on one of the many sustainable elements of pavement design.

Starting from the inclusion of chemical additives in the soil sub grade, to the use of geo grid reinforcement on unpaved and paved roads, to the surface roughness of asphalt mixtures and the freeze-thaw performance of concrete, the paper reports on research in pavement construction.

About the Book

Selected papers from the First International Symposium on Pavement and Geotechnical Engineering for Transportation Infrastructure held in Nanchang, China, June 5-7, 2011. Organized by Nanchang Hankong University and the International Association of Chinese Infrastructure Professionals (IACIP) in cooperation with ASCE Geo-Institute, Pavement and Geotechnical Engineering for Transportation is a symposium on geo mechanics and transportation.

It contains 20 papers representing the latest developments in the application of soil, rock, and pavement materials to geotechnical research and applications.

Topics include the use of chemical additives and geo grid reinforcement, performance evaluation of concrete and asphalt mixtures, mathematical models for simulation of geotechnical engineering problems, and evaluation of soil properties related to slope failure, consolidation, and fill behavior in pavement construction and sub grade treatment.
